The most dangerous mode is when engines on full throttle, model is slow, low and far.

When model is slow and engines have high RPM the significant part of lift consists from propeller’s airflow. If the airflow disappears we will have the much misbalance on wing halves. The time to recovery is shorter in case of single engine model because remaining running engine will accelerate speed of fall. The aggravating circumstance will be turn model to dead side. What do you do in order to avoid this situation? Nothing unusual. It will be enough don’t bring together all this factors. If you low - fly fast. If you want slowly – do it high. If you want low, slow do it close to you, even in this badly you will have a chance to save model. Is it difficult? No.

Control by engines.

The control of engines is the main attribute of safety flying twin models. The control has to be smoothly. No sudden movements, slow movements on throttle slick only. Of course you should move the stick slowly on single engine also but in case of twin it’s especially important. It is sound strange but for multi tanginess model it is not so important, but I recommend to move stick slowly on any model. How situation will able to follow if you disregard my recommendation. You manage throttle stick fast.

  1. Glow engine – one engine dies, other one will work on high RPM.
  2. Electro motor – one controller cut-off, other one will give full power on motor. If you have one battery for two or more engines, it possible that only one controller cuts-off.
  3. Glow engine – badly turned engine will slowly grove RPM other one properly turned will grove RPM fast. The situation close to point one.
  4. You didn’t observe one engine stop and from such mode applied throttle fast.

It will be 100% crash if you are in the most dangerous mode.

In this point I would like to recommend returning to place engine’s article and through look ones more my recommendation regarding select engines. The working engine will destroy model than engine powerfully whereby falling will be faster, time to save model shorter and model will be more destroyed.

Landing

Let's start with approaching. You have to fly pretty far, model can be low. The situation is close to most dangerous mode. How go out far from most dangerous position? It’s simple – plan you approach without using throttle. Engine’s should be on idle or close to idle. What do you do to make such approach? Landing pattern should be done as dead stick landing. Use little movements on throttle stick only to make small correction. The flying speed has to be maintained with descent of model. With such type of flying you can look that one engine stops close to you when you see stopped propeller. You will not any banks or turns. Such landing is not emergent because everything happens as normal landing.

Flare is very simple. Wing has additional air flow from propeller, ailerons are working effectively. To stall model is difficult. You can meet one problem only. It’s rudder. The efficiency may be low and it will lower as lower speed. You have to be ready for this.
